07-28-11 at 19:00hrs: RFC members practiced rope rescue techniques for the July monthly Company training. Members used Tower 1-1 with a "z rig" attached to the bucket to extricate a stoakes basket with the rescue dummy secured inside from the loft area of the station.

07-05-11 at 19:58hrs: RFC and station 46 (Church Creek) were alerted to respond to School House lane in the area of Dailsville Rd. for a reported vehicle fire. Chief 1-1 (Willey) arrived on scene to find one passenger car well involved. Engine 1-1's crew along with Engine 46-1 stretched (1) 1 3/4" handline to extinguish the fire. Command placed the fire under control within 10 mins of the first arriving Engine.

04-11-11 at 13:15hrs: RFC was alerted to respond to the Neck District box area (31-4) for a reported barn fire. Station 31 units arrived on scene to find a barn fully involved and partially on the ground. RFC responded with Engine 1-1 & 1-2 to assist. Members assisted with suppression and mop up. The fire was placed under control approximately 45 minutes after dispatch.

12-23-10 at 18:00HRS: Members of Rescue Fire Company and employees of GKD-USA manufacturing facility help to bring the spirit of the Christmas season to children of needy families in the local Cambridge area. GKD-USA employees donated the majority of the toys /gifts that were handed out to the needy kids in the area. RFC has assisted needy kids during Christmas for several years, members feel this event the best event RFC does all year. RFC would like to thank the Cambridge GKD-USA manufacturing facility for all of the donations and assistance with the program.

12-14-10 at 09:29AM: RFC was alerted to 611 High St. for a reported structure fire. Chief 1 arrived on scene with a 2 1/2 story wood framed dwelling; fire showing 2nd floor with exposures to another dwelling on side "B". Command requested a 2nd alarm. Engine 1-1's crew advanced a 1 3/4" hand line to the 2nd floor where they encountered extreme heat due to flash over conditions. Engine 1-1's crew made an aggressive interior attack, the fire was held to the 2nd floor with some extensions to the attic area. 12-10-10 At 11:20am RFC was alerted to 6 Washington St. for a reported vehicle fire. Engine 1-1 & 1-2 arrived on scene to find 1 vehicle well involved on a trailer not attached to a vehicle. Engine 1-1's crew made a quick knock and situation was placed under control.

12-3-10 at 14:20hrs: RFC was alerted to 100 Washington St. for reported Structure fire. Chief 1 arrived on scene with heavy smoke showing side A from the 2 1/2 story single family dwelling. Engine 1-1's crew advanced a 1 3/4 hand line to the 2nd floor where they encountered heavy fire conditions in the attic. Chief 1 requested a 2nd alarm. Units on scene were Station 1 (Cambridge), Station 16 (Secretary), Station 46 (Church Creek),Station 61 (Linkwood). Click here for dispatch audio and pictures.

October 19th At 19:00hrs: Members of Engine 1-2 conducted its regular bi-weekly training. Members were instructed and refreshed on the fundamentals of drafting. Learning how to draft is a required step in getting signed off to pump E 1-2.
